Dr. Lindsay Diaz was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Mount Saint Mary’s University for her undergraduate studies receiving her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry. After college, she furthered her education at Rutgers University earning a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and Oral Biology before attending dental school at the University of Maryland. Dr. Diaz remained at the University of Maryland to complete her orthodontic residency and in the process also achieved board certification. Like Dr. Vitkus, she joins our practice as a Board Certified Orthodontist.
In addition to her academic accomplishments, Dr. Diaz was a proud member of the Division I Mount Saint Mary’s University women’s lacrosse team and was awarded All-Conference honors for 3 years in a row. She has volunteered her time with the John’s Hopkins Cleft and Craniofacial team helping patients with orthodontic care and was President of her dental school’s Hispanic Dental Association; she is fluent in Spanish! While in residency, Dr. Diaz impressively also found time to be involved with organized dentistry serving roles within the American Association of Orthodontists, which is how she and Dr. Vitkus first met!
Dr. Diaz is married to Michael Paulus, who grew up in Syracuse. They decided together that this was the place they would call home. They welcomed their beautiful daughter Mila earlier this year. Outside of the office Dr. Diaz enjoys traveling, running, spending time with family and friends and cheering on her Baltimore sports teams!
